Charice’s mom Raquel Pempengco held a presscon Friday morning to address the issue of her daughter’s recent confession about her sexuality.
What became the highlight of the event, however, was Raquel’s own confession that she herself was a lesbian.
It’s unclear, though, if she really planned to confess about her past, or it was just driven by Tess Relucio’s (Raquel’s mother) recent confession that Raquel used to be a tomboy but followed her advice to leave the lesbian life and marry Ricky Pempengco instead.
Raquel, meanwhile, said that she felt like Charice has abandoned them. The international singer has been living in a friend’s house and has cut all communications to her family.
In the letter that Raquel read during the presscon, she confessed: “Napakasakit po ang mga nangyayaring ito sa aming pamilya, lalo na at higit pa sa akin. Ang pakiramdam po namin ay itinakwil na kami ni Charice. Tinalikuran.”
Tess Relucio, in the same interview where she revealed that Raquel was also a tomboy, also said that Charice is living with girlfriend and AKA JAM singer Alyssa Quijano. She added that Charice spends her money with Alyssa’s family, while Raquel doesn’t know where to get the money to pay for the taxes of Charice’s properties.
