7th Asian Film Awards winners list - Nora Aunor, Eddie Garcia win top acting honors

Nora Aunor and Eddie Garcia made the Philippines proud on March 18 for winning Best Actress and Best Actor respectively at the 7th Asian Film Awards (2013), held at the Grand Hall of Hong Kong Convention Center and Exhibition Center.

Nora won for her role in the Brillante Mendoza-helmed Thy Womb, while Eddie Garcia’s role as an old gay man in Bwakaw, written and directed by Jun Lana, earned him the AFA nod.

  • Best Costume Designer - Man Lim-chung, “The Silent War” (China/Hong Kong)
  • Best Production Designer - Bahman Ghobadi & Ali Daryai, “Rhino Season” (India)
  • Best Composer - Pritam Chakraborty, “Barfi!” (India)
  • Best Visual Effects - Fred Khoshtinat, “Rhino Season” (India)
  • Best Screenwriter - Mei Feng, Yu Fan & Lou Ye, “Mystery” (China)
  • 2012’s Top-Grossing Asian Film Award - “Lost in Thailand” (Thailand)
