Philippine Azkals win against Cambodia, final group qualifier set on Tuesday

The Philippine Azkals won the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup Group E qualifier game against Cambodia with a score of 8-0.

The match was held at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on Sunday, March 24. Phil Younghusband scored four goals, Javier Patiño scored two, and Stephan Schrock and Carli de Murga had one goal each.

With this win, the Azkals have become the leading team in Group E, ahead of Turkmenistan. Both teams have 6 points but the Azkals have 11 goal difference, compared to Turkmenistan’s 10. Cambodia has just been eliminated from the qualifiers.

Philippines vs Turkmenistan, the last match in Group E, will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the same venue.
