It has already been reported, but this makes it official. Apl.de.ap of the popular American group the Black Eyed Peas is the fourth coach of the upcoming Philippine edition of The Voice.
Laurenti Dyogi, TV Production Entertainment Head of ABS-CBN, confirmed the news by saying the Filipino-American performer has already signed a contract with ABS-CBN.
“I am pleased to inform you that I got this morning the soft copy of the signed contract of Apl! He's leaving for Europe today and will be in London [within the month]. Will arrange for TFC London to shoot his OCI (on cam interview) for the plug,” Dyogi said.
Apl.de.ap will reportedly be in the country next month for the reality singing show that will air later this year.
Other coaches of The Voice of the Philippines are Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Mañalac, and Lea Salonga. It will be hosted by Toni Gonzaga, with Robi Domingo as social media correspondent.
