KathNiel’s ‘Must Be Love’ earns P50-M in first week

Must Be Love, the launching movie of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s love team, has earned P50-million during its first week of showing.

The good news was posted on Twitter by Star Cinema’s advertising and promotions manager Mico del Rosario.

“Over P50M in seven days! congrats sa team #MustBeLove !! winning numbers for a kathniel launching movie! go for gold! go for more! #2ndweek!”

Being Star Cinema’s second movie this year, Must Be Love grossed higher than the film outfit’s opening salvo, A Moment In Time. The Coco Martin-Julia Montes Valentine movie’s first week gross was only P34.86-million, and only grossed P64.54-million during its four-week run.

Must Be Love opened in theaters on March 13 and is now on its second week. With school officially out starting this week, I’m sure a lot of the love team’s fans will raid the movie houses to watch it over again.

Directed by Dado Lumibao, also in the cast are Liza Soberano, Sharlene San Pedro, Kit Thompson, Paul Salas and John Estrada.
