After three days of posting nothing on her official Twitter account, Kris Aquino took to the micro-blogging site on Saturday afternoon to say her goodbye, especially to her Kris TV family.
“Goodbye for now. Many thanks for the love, understanding & prayers. To my @KrisTVofficial family @jasminip @darlasauler @luiandrada I'll be missing u...” the Queen of All Media posted.
It’s not clear, however, if she’s indeed saying goodbye to showbiz or just saying goodbye for the meantime while she’s out of the country on an earlier planned vacation with her two kids Joshua and Bimby.
An hour before she posted that goodbye message, ABS-CBN released an official statement through the network’s head of integrated corporate communications Bong R. Osorio that Kris cannot leave her commitments just like that.
The statement seemed firm in saying that “upon her return, Kris will fulfill her commitments to her soap “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw,” which is nearing its end.”
Kris will also have to “stay as a judge in Pilipinas Got Talent till its end on June” because it is a foreign franchise and commitments have to be fulfilled and there are rules that they need to abide by.
With regards to her daily morning show Kris TV, she had already taped episodes “in anticipation of her long planned vacation with her sons.”
The statement was in connection to Kris’ announcement on Thursday that she is resigning from showbiz. It was done in the middle of the controversy which started on Wednesday when she filed a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) against former husband James Yap for allegedly overstepping his boundaries and by trying to seduce her inside her own home last December. They allegedly had a heated argument because of that and it caused psychological harm to their son Baby James/Bimby who saw the whole thing.
Later on Wednesday, James told his version of what happened that 3rd day of December when he visited his son. According to the professional basketball player, he joked of attempting to kiss Kris because his son wouldn’t give him a goodbye kiss. He also said that Kris made it look like he was hurting her when he held her arm that’s why Bimby thought he was really doing so. The child got mad at him because of that.
James further said that Kris used the name of her older brother, President Noy, to insinuate that she could ruin him. The name of the president being dragged into the issue caused the ire of the Aquino sisters, reason for all four of them to go on a live interview with TV Patrol on Thursday. It was the same interview where Kris said she was quitting showbiz.
