Kris Aquino, after saying goodbye on Twitter, has left the Philippines on board Emirates Airlines flight EK 333 bound for Paris on Saturday, March 23, 2013. She’s going to Disneyland Paris with her two sons Joshua Aquino and Bimby Yap.
They were allowed to travel after a Makati court junked her former husband James Yap’s request for a Hold Departure Order (HDO) against her and their son Bimby.
James petitioned for an HDO for fear that he wouldn’t see his son for a long time after the actress-host announced her resignation from all her television programs on Thursday.
Kris resigned amid the controversy that started when she filed a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) against James. The TPO, which prohibits the professional basketball player from being within 100 meters of Kris and Bimby, was granted by the court.
Kris filed for TPO against James for allegedly causing distress on their 5-year-old son. One incident happened last December when, in front of Bimby, James allegedly made sexual advances at her which caused their heated argument. The said incident was immediately denied by James.
James’ counsel Atty. Lorna Kapunan said in an interview that the HDO was not to prevent Bimby from traveling. They only want Kris’ camp to inform the court of any of the actress’ travel plans with the child.
Meanwhile, Kris reportedly requested the Manila International Airport (MIA) authorities to only allow a crew from ABS-CBN and another from GMA-7 to interview and take photos and videos of her and her kids at the airport on their way to France.
Hours before their departure, however, her website www.krisaquino.net was hacked by the hacktivist group Anonymous. The group is known for hacking the websites of government agencies that are involved in controversial issues.
