There had been rumors that a Kapuso actor will transfer to ABS-CBN to play the leading man of Jessy Mendiola in the Philippine adaptation of Maria Mercedes which will air later this year.
Clues point to Dennis Trillo as he said in an interview a few months ago that should he need to transfer networks, he would choose ABS-CBN.
The actor’s manager Popoy Caritativo recently reacted to these rumors by saying that his talent’s contract with GMA-7 is still effective up to December 2013, so the rumors that he will be in the Kapamilya series that will air this year is quite impossible.
Meanwhile, you can catch Dennis as Marcel in the Kapuso Network’s adaptation of the Korean drama Temptation Of Wife which is now down to its last few weeks.
