The 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Sisterakas has said to have surpassed the P300-million mark, making it the current highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time.
In a recent post by Kris Aquino on her official Twitter account, she thanked the moviegoers for putting the movie on top with P320,112,364.28 as of January 5, 2013.

The distinction of being the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time currently belongs to The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin which was also starred by Vice Ganda, one of the leads of Sisterakas. Shown October 2011, it grossed P331.61-million, approximately just P11-million ahead of the MMFF entry which is still showing in theaters.
Sisterakas, which is this year’s third best picture, and other festival entries are showing in theaters until January 8th. With just a little more than P11-million to make in three days to surpass Praybeyt Benjamin, I’m sure the Vice-Kris-Ai-Ai de las Alas-starrer will soon be declared the highest-grossing Pinoy film of all time.
