“Minute To Win It” hosted by Luis Manzano premieres Jan 14 - Teaser (Video)

Starting Monday, January 14, Minute To Win It, a new game show franchise of ABS-CBN will premiere on the network’s morning block, changing the timeslot of some shows a little bit.

Luis Manzano hosts Minute To Win It

Hosted by Luis Manzano, Minute To Win It will air at 11am and will run daily for 45 minutes. The hit romantic-comedy Be Careful With My Heart, on the other hand, will be moved a little later at 11:45am. It will be followed by the noontime show It’s Showtime in its new timeslot at 12:30pm.

Since Be Careful With My Heart runs for 45 minutes, its last 30 minutes will pit against GMA-7’s noontime show Eat Bulaga! That makes me wonder how it will affect the ratings of the two shows. The Kapuso noontime show lead weekday national ratings before the Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap-starrer premiered. It changed however when televiewers started getting addicted to the soap, pushing the noontime show down a little bit.

Meanwhile, Minute To Win It is an American game show that ran for two seasons from March 2010 to September 2011. It has been franchised in 40 countries including Spain (Uno Para Ganar), Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

In the show, studio contestants engage in a series of 60-second games that use common objects around the house. The idea of having to finish the challenges in just one minute makes it never-wracking.

For its first episode on Monday, ace comedienne Ai-Ai de las Alas will play and try to win the jackpot prize of P1-million.

Celebrity contestants will be playing in the whole pilot week to give viewers a feel of what the game show is like. Aside from Ai-Ai, also watch out for Cristine Reyes, Rico J. Puno, Maja Salvador, Zanjoe Marudo, K Brosas, and Shamcey Supsup.
