Instead of releasing further official statements with regards to the controversies Sarah Lahbati’s tweets have brought up, Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar decided to take it to the proper court.
On Thursday afternoon, the president of GMA Films filed a criminal case for libel against the Kapuso actress who recently tweeted about the network executive as one of those who give protection to ICONS Management which does under the table deals in GMA-7.
The advisory released through gmanetwork.com reads:
Atty. Annette Gozon Abrogar has filed a criminal case for libel against Sarah Lahbati this afternoon with the Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati. Instead of trial by publicity, the case will now be brought to the proper forum. Once the case is filed, the subjudice rule applies and parties who continue to talk about the issue in public can be held in contempt of court.
