Taylor Swift held a much talked-about live web chat with her fans on Monday night to reveal that she is releasing a new album.

The upcoming album is titled Red and will be released on October 22. She even showed the album artwork that was hidden behind a red cloth.

Taylor answered questions from the fans who were present in the room with her and from those video chatting with her through Google Plus Hangout.

Through the fans’ questions, it was revealed that there will be 16 songs in the album, and that’s not including bonus tracks that will be included in the album’s release in different places. One of the tracks is a duet with Ed Sheeran, Taylor’s personal favorite.

“We wrote a song while sitting on a trampoline,” she revealed about her collaboration with the British singer. “That was so much fun and we loved it so much that we actually ended up recording it as a duet.”

Taylor also explained what the album title meant for her. “All the different emotions that are written about on this album are all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. All those emotions — spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that — in my mind, all those emotions are red. You know, there’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings.”

During the chat, she also unveiled a new song called We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. You can check it out in the video below starting at the 21:00 mark.
