Maja Salvador expressed her happiness over the fact that Gerald Anderson defends her against intrigues.
The Kapamilya actress has been surrounded by negative rumors since she got linked to Gerald, the ex-boyfriend of her best friend and Ina Kapatid Anak costar Kim Chiu.
“Aamin ko masaya naman ako. Pero hanggang dun muna. Ayoko muna magdetalye. Pero sobrang salamat sa kanya kasi nararamdaman ko na special ako talaga sa kanya at ipinagtatanggol niya ako kahit papaano,” she told Push.com.
She has also been plagued with hate messages even on social networking sites like Twitter and Instagram, and she admitted that those things hurt her.
“Aaminin ko na every time na nagpo-post ako sa Instagram, may mga bad comments ['yung iba]. And hindi naman ako istatwa lang or bato, tao rin naman ako,” she confessed.
And it gets especially hard for her when her family gets bashed as well.
“Hindi every day tatanggapin mo 'yung sinasabi nila. Kasi kahit na alam mong ‘di totoo wala kang magagawa opinyon nila 'yun. Pero kung idamay nila 'yung family mo, sobra na, walang kinalaman yung nanay at family ko kung ano man ibinabato niyo sa akin.”
Despite all the controversies, however, Maja denied that she and Gerald are already an item.
“Hindi pa,” she denied. “Agad agad? Ayoko pangunahan. Sa akin na lang muna. Siguro in time.”
