Alodia Gosiengfiao might be famous in the Philippines for her different looks as a cosplayer, but she’s in to something else in Japan.
The 25-year-old budding singer is now the leader of a Japanese pop (J-Pop) group called Super Dolls, and she has already shot a music video with them.
When asked by ABS-CBN News why she chose to pursue a music career in Japan, Alodia said that it’s hard to be a singer here in the Philippines where birit is the trend among female singers.
She was discovered in Singapore by a Japanese music producer who teamed her up with two other popular Japanese cosplayers to form Super Dolls.
“It’s a big honor,” Alodia said with regards to representing the country abroad. “But sobrang nape-pressure ako kasi syempre we have a lot of talented singers, a lot of talented artists here in the Philippines.”
Super Dolls will be have a grand launch in Japan on April 3, 2013. And since the group is composed of costume players, they will surely add excitement to the already exciting world of cosplay.
