Aljur Abrenica joins 'Indio' cast; to play macho dancer in 'Magpakailanman'

Aljur Abrenica will soon be seen as the newest addition in Indio and he’s already busy preparing for the role.

According to the Kapuso hunk, he will play the role of Bagandi, a native Pinoy who will be a friend of Indio.

He is currently undergoing workshops and is also preparing physically for the role. As we know, native males only wear bahag much like what he wore in Machete.

“Ayaw ko namang lumabas na hindi presentable ‘yong katawan,” Aljur said with regards to working out.

This will be his first time working with Indio star Bong Revilla. This could have been the third if his character in Panday wasn’t removed, and if his schedule permitted him in a sequel of the same movie.

Meanwhile, Aljur is also slated to appear in a Magpakailanman episode where he will do the life story of indie actor Kristoffer King. Reports say Kristoffer used to be a macho dancer so Aljur has underwent training for that to be able to give justice to the role.

Aljur confessed there are still a lot of things he would like to do with regards to his acting career, and one of them is doing independent films. Well, he is still young and has a long way to go. He’s just turning 23 on March 24 and has a full showbiz career ahead of him.

And speaking of birthdays, he said his dad is planning that they do a charity concert as a form of thanksgiving. After all, they are so blessed as aside from his new projects, his brother Vin is also very visible on TV5 after winning Artista Academy.
