Yasmien Kurdi may be missing in the entertainment scene for quite some time now but her life hasn’t been uneventful at all!
The pretty first princess of StarStruck’s first season has given birth last November 22 to a beautiful baby girl that she named Ayesha Zara which means “bright flower” in Hindu.
She is no unwed mom, though. Unknown to the public, she got married January 25 last year in a simple wedding ceremony. She tied the knot with her long time boyfriend Rey Soldevilla Jr, a flight attendant.
There’s a catch for her being happily married, though, because her mom is reportedly against her relationship with Rey due to religion – Rey is a Roman Catholic while Yasmien’s family is Iglesia Ni Cristo.
The marriage proved, however, that love is beyond religion. After all, it’s what you do and what’s inside your heart that matter.
Yasmien and her mom still don’t have any communication but as the saying goes, time heals all wounds.
Despite being married and having a child, the actress intends to finish her Nursing course in the near future.
