Oro Plata Mata is another classic film digitally restored and re-mastered in High Definition (HD) by ABS-CBN Film Archive and Central Digital Lab, Inc.
Technology is really great, doesn’t it? And if not for the efforts of ABS-CBN, these masterpieces (including the previously restored Himala) will just fade with the passing of time.
Oro Plata Mata was directed by Peque Gallaga and is considered as the director’s most significant contribution to Philippine cinema. It was written by Jose Javier Reyes and starred Cherie Gil, Liza Lorena, Maya Valdez, Ronnie Lazaro, Joel Torre and Kuh Ledesma, among others.
