The Department of Health has launched its newest campaign Belly Good For Health with new dance steps called Belly Good.
Assistant secretary and spokesperson Dr. Eric Tayag has been seen in the news showing people how to do the Belly Good dance to the tune of the old dance song Build Me Up Buttercup.
He said that dancing is still the best way to exercise and lose pounds especially around the belly.
The Belly Good For Health campaign was launched to encourage overweight people to live a healthier lifestyle to combat health problems like obesity, diabetes and heart diseases.
Tayag said the waistline should be the gauge if one is fit or not. Women’s waists should measure at least 32 inches, and 34-35 inches for the men.
