29th PMPC Star Awards for Movies (2013) - Winners List

The 29th Star Awards for Movies (2013) was held at the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on Sunday night, March 10, 2013. It was hosted by Piolo Pascual, Iza Calzado and Kim Chiu.

Angel Locsin won the Best Movie Actress award for her role in Star Cinema’s One More Try. She beat Nora Aunor this time who was also exceptional for her role in They Womb. It can be recalled that for the same roles, the superstar won the award at the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), beating Angel in the process.

ER Ejercito won Best Movie Actor for his role in El Presidente which also won the Movie of the Year award. Its director Mark Meily bagged the Best Movie Director award as well.

In the independent movie category, Alagwa won several awards including Indie Movie of the Year, Best Indie Movie Director and Best Indie Movie Screenwriter for Ian Loreños, Best Child Performer for Bugoy Cariño and Best Indie Movie Editor for Dempster Samarista.
