Book 2 of Ina Kapatid Anak begins Monday, January 14th. There are twists and new characters to be introduced in the series that will make our weeknight television viewing more exciting.
Meanwhile, during the presscon of the said second book, talks were focused on the series’ lead stars Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador, and their alleged “common denominator” - Gerald Anderson.
Kim and Maja are (were?) bestfriends, and as such, Maja was the one Kim poured her heartaches to during the time that she was heartbroken with Gerald Anderson three years ago.
Recently, talks about Maja and Gerald going out on dates have surfaced, and there are photos to prove that.
The two were seen together in Misibis Bay, albeit with their respective families and friends. But when asked if they are indeed dating, Maja refused to answer the question. She just said that Gerald is the best person to ask that question with.
I believe such an answer is equivalent to a yes. And yes it is indeed as Kim Chiu herself confirmed that Maja even asked for her permission to date Gerald.
“She asked permission to me and then I said bakit kailangan pang magpaalam e wala na ako kay Gerald. Wala na talaga,” Kim said when asked by reporters.
She was surprised, though, that her bestfriend would date her ex-boyfriend.
“Nagulat ako and nabigla. Hindi ko inexpect na mangyayari tong ganito. Hindi naman ako bitter kung anuman nangyayari sa kanila. But I’m happy for them. Parang nalungkot lang ako kasi ‘yung taong sinabihan ko no’ng time na down ako dun sa … ‘yon parang kinain n’ya lang ‘yung sinabi n’ya.”
The pretty actress also said that she feels a little off when people ask her about the ex-boyfriend.
“Three years na,” Kim added. “Andami pang babaeng dumaan after ko.”
With regards to her working relationship with Maja in Ina Kapatid Anak, Kim said they can work professionally and there’s no tension between them.
“Hindi naman po (nagkakailangan). We can work professionally. Nagawa naman po naming maganda naman ‘yong mga eksena namin so it’s okay.”
But is she really okay knowing her bestfriend and ex-boyfriend are now dating?
“For me I’m happy for them, wala naman pong masama pareho naman po silang single. Maging masaya na lang po tayo para sa kaninalng dalawa. Nakakalungkot lang kasi ‘yung friendship nasayang.”
When asked whose friendship got wasted - if it was her and Gerald’s or her and Maja’s, Kim got almost teary-eyed and became a little blunt.
“Nakakapagod na po kasi ‘yung ano, ‘yung tanong kayo ng tanong sa akin ng tungkol kay Gerald e andami naman pong dinaanang babae. Hindi lang naman po ako. Bakit hinidi nyo po hingin ‘yung opinyon ng ibang babae since marami naman po sila.”
When asked for her New Year’s resolution, she quipped, “Positivity, fearless, be happy, let’s enjoy. And sa mga bashers, tama na po. Let’s just be happy.”
