Star Magic introduces this year’s batch of fresh faces where the next big stars might come from. Dubbed as Star Magic Circle 2013, the twelve new talents include a couple of faces that come from showbiz clans, and also some that might already be familiar to you.
One of the dozen is Julia Barretto whose joining showbiz has been long time coming. She is the daughter of ex-couple Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla, and the niece of Gretchen Barretto and Claudine Barretto.
Julian Estrada also comes from a big clan of actors and politicians. He is one of the two sons of Jinggoy Estrada, thus, he’s the grandson of former Philippine president Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada.
Jerome Ponce and Janella Salvador who play the roles of siblings Luke and Nikki in the hit daytime series Be Careful With My Heart are also part of the batch.
Familiar faces also include Khalil Ramos who was a finalist in Pilipinas Got Talent 3 and has already been launched as Kiko in Princess And I; Kit Thompson of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4 and Kahit Puso’y Masugatan; Michelle Vito who was a kontrabida in Aryana; Jane Oineza who played the role of the raped girl in Maalaala Mo Kaya’s controversial episode titled ‘Manika’; Jon Lucas who is currently seen in Kahit Konting Pagtingin as Angeline Quinto’s brother; and Liza Soberano (former Hope Soberano) who was Jake Cuenca’s sister in Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo and the third wheel in the upcoming KathNiel movie Must Be… Love.
To complete the pack, there’s also Alex Diaz who has been a Student DJ in Monster Radio RX 93.1, and Ingrid Dela Paz who was discovered by ABS-CBN President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio at the Gawad Eugenio Lopez where she was one of the ushers.
