Jason Francisco punched John Prats three times in the face during rehearsals for the Kapamilya gag show Banana Split.
The incident happened Thursday night at the Music Museum in San Juan while the cast of the show were rehearsing.
According to John, Jason’s punches hit him in the cheek and chin.
"Hindi ko alam kung bakit niya ako biglang sinapak. Para akong nakakita ng demonyo," John told ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe.
Police officers eventually arrived at the scene. John’s father, manager, and girlfriend Kapuso actress Isabel Oli also rushed to the Music Museum upon learning of what transpired.
In another tweet by MJ, he said Jason was in a closed-door meeting with the show’s executives. His former girlfriend Melai Cantiveros who is one of the stars of Banana Split was also there.
According to Jason, he got irritated of the teasing thrown by his former Banana Split costars towards him and Melai.
Meanwhile, John already reported the incident to the San Juan Police. He didn’t file charges but his manager reportedly will.
Jason has already apologized to John and said he is willing to make amends.
