Sarah Lahbati’s contract with GMA-7 cannot be cancelled without network’s consent

GMA-7 has just recently answered Sarah Lahbati’s series of tweets posted earlier today. The tweets included the messages that say Annette Gozon-Abrogar, an executive of the network, has talked to Sarah about signing with ICONS Management in exchange for projects and endorsements, when she cannot sign with another management company as stated in her contract with GMA Artist Center.

In an article published on gmanetwork.com, GMA-7 said that they have already taken actions to address the said issue.

“The supposed referral by some of the Network executives to ICONS Management was again mentioned in Sarah’s tweets. The Network reiterates its earlier statement that it has not authorized any such referrals and that concrete actions have already been taken to address this issue.”

With regards to HOT TV airing a one-sided story to sabotage Sarah and not even asking for her side of the story, the Kapuso Network said there’s no truth about it. The program’s researcher Malou Santiago reportedly contacted Monica Carla Sevillano, handler of Sarah, before the story was aired. Sevillano, in turn, coordinated with the actress to get her side but HOT TV did not receive any response from her.

The network also addressed the fact that Sarah, in her tweets, has asked to be released from her contract with GMA Artist Center. But GMA said the cancellation of the contract has to be agreed upon by the network as well, “the same way that a contract requires the mutual consent of the two parties.”

With all these exchanges of tweets and statements, will there ever be a healthy working environment for Sarah in the Kapuso grounds should she continue (granted she has a choice not to) her contract?

Where will this controversy lead the pretty actress? Is she asking to be released from her contract so she could transfer to another network?

Just asking.
