CineFilipino announces 8 finalists to receive P1.5-M each

CineFilipino has already selected the eight entries that will be showcased during the film festival which will be held from June 26 to July 3, 2013.

The announcement of the eight entries, which were chosen from almost 150 that were submitted from all over the country, took place on Thursday, January 10th, at Passion Restaurant in Maxims Hotel, Resorts World Manila.

The filmmakers of the chosen entries will each receive P1.5-million to fund their projects.

The 8 lucky entries chosen by CineFilipino are as follows:

1. PUTI (ACHROMATOPSIA) by Miguel 'Mike' Alcazaren
2. MGA ALAALA NG TAG-ULAN by Renato 'Ato' Bautista, Jr.
3. THE GUERILLA IS A POET by Sari Raissa Dalena and Kiri Dalena
4. ANG HULING CHA-CHA NI ANITA by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo
5. THE MUSES by Janice Perez
6. ANG KWENTO NI MABUTI by Ramon 'Mes' De Guzman
7. ANG TURKEY MAN AY PABO RIN by Randolph Longjas
8. BINGOLERAS by Byron 'Ron' Bryant
