“Artista Academy” – The Top 8 Boys

TV5’s Artista Academy has recently revealed its Top 16 last Saturday. From the thousands who auditioned at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, they are now down to the top eight boys and top eight girls who will vie for the titles of Best Actor and Best Actress and the much-coveted prize of P20 million and the fame that goes with it.

Artista Academy - Top 8 Boys

The top eight boys include Vin Abrenica, the brother of Kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica. They may not look so much alike but the Machete-like features connect them together.

Artista Academy - Vin Abrenica

Vin is one of the early favorites, even becoming a hot topic in some social networking sites with his manly good looks and, of course, for being the brother of Aljur.

However, he does seem to have the same packaging as the next contestant named Benjo Leoncio.

Artista Academy - Benjo Leoncio

Hunky, well-built and clean-cut. Benjo’s face reminds us of Luis Alandy.

Next is Mark Newmann who has a foreign blood that you can, of course, tell just by hearing his surname. His cute, boyish face can get him places in this competition. Check him out below.

He almost looks like a girl with that face, don’t you think?

And that completes our top 3 – Vin, Benjo and Mark. Although we kinda battled between Mark and Akitorio Blanco whose pic is below.

Artista Academy - Akitorio Blanco

We can somehow sense Akitorio’s naughty and wild side on this pic and we’re sure not everyone has a passion for good guys. We’re sure Aki (we’d like to call him that) will not be among the firsts to leave in the competition.

Our top 5 is Brent Manzano:

Chris Leonardo:

Who are your top picks?

Artista Academy airs Monday to Saturday, after Wil Time Bigtime, on TV5.
