GMA-7's new fantaserye Paroa: Ang Kwento Ni Mariposa premieres tonight, November 5, 2012. It features teen stars Barbie Forteza and Derrick Monasterio in their second team-up after Luna Blanca.
The series was initially announced as Mariposa but the network eventually decided to make the title longer. Paris is actually the term used for the kingdom of fairies that are half-human and half-butterfly.
Barbie plays the role of Mariposa who was brought to the land of the humans when she was young for her protection. She would eventually meet a young man played by Derrick who will make her fall in love.
Paroa is directed by Mark Reyes. Also in its cast are Joyce Ching, Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Umali, Tanya Garcia, Agot Isidro, Gino dela Peña, Rita Iringan and Maritoni Fernandez. It takes the timeslot left by the Koreanovela Moon Embracing The Sun which ended last Friday.
