Coco Martin will star in the upcoming historical epic drama of ABS-CBN titled Juan Dela Cruz. The script was reportedly first submitted by Deo Endrinal’s CineMedia for the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) but was rejected. It was then made into a television series under Endrinal’s drama unit in ABS-CBN.
But who will be the award-winning actor’s leading lady in the historical drama?
According to MJ Felipe in his Umagang Kay Ganda segment a few days ago, Erich Gonzales and Zsa Zsa Padilla will co-star with Coco in the project.
According to some reports, however, it is Angel Locsin and not Erich Gonzales.
Fans of Angel have already been so excited since it has been quite some time since she last starred in a teleserye, the last one being Imortal in 2010. She is seen every Saturday in the sitcom Toda Max, though.
But whether it be Erich or Angel, Coco’s fans are all excited for this new project, which will perhaps be pitted against GMA-7’s own upcoming historical epic drama, Indio, starring Bong Revilla, Jennylyn Mercado, Maxene Magalona and Rhian Ramos.
