A new Mister World will be crowned approximately six hours from now in Kent, England, and Mister Philippines Andrew Wolff is doing his best to bring home the crown.
A few days ago, Andrew won in the Sports Challenge, beating 47 other contestants from around the world.
His being an athlete and a model were two of the reasons why Global Quest, Inc. chose him to represent the country. Playing a flanker of the Philippine Volcanoes gave him more than enough experience to do well in the sports event which would give him enough points to enter the semi-final round of the pageant.
Above picture shows Andrew flanked by Mr. Colombia (left) and Mr. Martinique who were both part of the Top 3 in the Sports Challenge.
The winner was determined via a sprint competition. The Top 12 went head to head in six heats, and the winners eventually became the Top 6. The same was done to determine the Top 3.
The pageant website posted: “From start to finish it was a close race for 2nd place, but Philippines was a full 2.1 seconds clear to claim victory and rack up some impressive points to the overall sports challenge leaderboard.”
From winning the Sports Challenge alone, we can say that Andrew Wolff is giving his hundred percent to bring pride to the country. And with just a few hours until the final ceremony, we can support him by saying a little prayer to help him through.
Good luck, Andrew!
