Celso Ad. Castillo passes away at 69

Veteran director, actor and producer Celso Ad. Castillo passed away early morning of Monday, November 26, 2012, at the age of 69.

Castillo reportedly died of cardiac arrest around 2am in his house in Sinoloan, Laguna, where his remains currently lie in state.

Among the movies Castillo wrote and directed were Ang Mahiwagang Daigdig Ni Pedro Penduko (1973), Patayin Mo Sa Sindak Si Barbara (1974), Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop Sa Balat Ng Lupa (1974), Tag-ulan Sa Tag-araw (1975), Burlesk Queen (1977), and Pagputi Ng Uwak... Pag-itim Ng Tagak (1978) among others.

In 2011, he was seen acting the role of Samuel Aragon on ABS-CBN’s Reputasyon and as Master Ming in TV5’s Babaeng Hampaslupa.
