An international trailer for Les Miserables has been released. The Tom Hooper-directed movie is set to be shown on Christmas Day.
It is the 2012 movie production of the original stage musical Boublil and Schonberg’s Les Miserables, which is based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel. The story is set in 19th-century France, in which a paroled prisoner (Jean Valjean) seeks redemption.
The new trailer features a medley of songs from the famous musical, unlike the first one that only featured I Dreamed A Dream which was being sung by Fantine (Anne Hathaway).
Also in the cast are Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Javert, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, Eddie Redmayne as Marius, Colm Wilkinson as Bishop of Digne, Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier, Sacha Baron Cohen as Thenardier, Aaron Tveit as Enjolras and Samantha Barks as Eponine.
