Sarah Geronimo denied that there’s a feud between her and fellow The Voice Of The Philippines coach Lea Salonga.
In Showbiz Inside Report on Saturday, Sarah said, “Wala naman ‘yun. Part ‘yun ng pagiging sport ng show, ‘yung fun, ‘di ba?”
Rumors about their alleged feud started when the two tried to sweet talk a contestant, singer Radha.
Lea seemed to want Radha badly as she undeniably has a big voice. What the international singer told the contestant to lure her into Team Lea started it all.
“I’m glad that my chair was the first one to turn for you, let me say that right now. You already know what I can do as a coach, 'yun nalang sasabihin ko,” Lea said. She was one of the coaches of a previous production of the stage musical Once On This Island that Radha was among the cast of.
“I don't have to sell myself too much,” the Tony Award winner continued, before turning to Sarah and saying: “You, however...”
In a separate interview, Lea also denied that there ever was a feud between her and Sarah, saying it was all said in jest and that the coaches don’t take it seriously.
“Ay, hindi. We don't take it seriously,” she said. “Hindi kami nagkakainitan. This is my thing, this is a personal thing. I tease people I like, and the more I like them, the hotter it gets.”
