‘The Voice of the Philippines’ 1st Battle Round results (VIDEOS)

The Voice Of The Philippines held its first Battle Round on Sunday night, July 28, 2013, which resulted into the elimination of four talented acts.

Unluckily, the tandem of Guji Lorenzana and his sister Grace was sent home by their coach, apl.de.ap, saving Tristhan Perfecto in the process. They were given Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered to battle on and although the Lorenzanas were pretty good, Tristhan was able to shine with his high notes.

Team Bamboo’s Dan Billano was also eliminated in favor in Lee Grane. The female folk singer wasn’t really in her best last night but her coach chose to save her to give her another chance.

Morrisette Amon of Team Sarah gave a stellar performance of Donna Summer’s No More Tears. Her experience in theater really came into good use during her showdown with Lecelle Trinidad.

Lea Salonga had a hard time choosing between Mitoy Yonting and Chien Berbana. The two gave an excellent rendition of Heart’s Alone but one has to be eliminated. In the end, Mitoy remained in Team Lea.
