The Philippine trailer for the Thai movie Pee Mak which stars Mario Maurer has been released by Star Cinema. It opens in selected cinemas nationwide on August 28, 2013.
The romance-horror-comedy movie stars Mario as Mak, with Davika Hoorne playing the role of his ghost wife Nak.
Directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun (Hello Stranger), the story was adapted from the Thai ghost story of Mae Nak, which is believed to have happened during the early 19th century.
The trailer is both interesting and funny but you will be torn between watching the video and reading the subtitles.
Plot:
Some time during the Rattanakosin Kingdom, Mak (Mario Maurer) becomes a soldier and has to leave his pregnant wife Nak (Davika Hoorne) at home in Phra Khanong. In the distant frontline he meets four soldiers who become his best friends. Meanwhile his wife Nak struggles to give birth to their baby alone.
When the war is over, Mak invites his friends to go to his home and meet his beautiful wife Nak. But in Phra Khanong the rumor goes around town that Nak is a ghost. After a series of uncanny events his four friends and some villagers try to tell Mak that his wife is already dead. -wikipedia.org
