Megan Young admitted that despite her television exposures as host and actress, she still got the jitters during the screening of Miss World Philippines 2013.
The 23-year-old Filipino-American said she feels a lot of pressure to win the crown.
“It’s a lot of pressure, I have to admit. I wanna prove to them that I can… well, of course, my goal there is to win it,” she said.
She also recalled the first time she walked the ramp at the screening where she felt her knees were shaking.
“Nanginginig ‘yung tuhod ko, sobrang nangangatog ako. Even the first time na rumampa kami, I think my smile was shaking.”
Megan, being a well-known celebrity, is one of the early favorites in the competition. Other celebs joining the pageant are Diva Montelaba and Rich Asuncion, who was Bb. Pilipinas 2009 1st runner-up. All three girls are products of the reality talent search StarStruck.
The Miss World Philippines 2013 pageant will be held on August 18. It will be telecast live on GMA-7.
