GMA-7’s statement on Ogie Alcasid’s network transfer

Ogie Alcasid has officially left GMA Network, his home for almost 20 years.

The singer-songwriter chose not to renew his contract with the Kapuso Network and opted to sign with TV5 who reportedly offered better a better deal.

In line with that, GMA-7 has released a statement regarding Ogie’s leaving the network.

As Ogie Alcasid moves on to explore new grounds, GMA Network, his home for almost two decades, wishes him all the best. We thank him for being a part of the Network's success all these years.

His achievements as a singer, songwriter, comedian, host and actor make Ogie the icon that he is now. And the Kapuso Network is proud to have been with him throughout this journey.

Now people are wondering, will Ogie’s wife, Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez, follow him to the Kapatid Network when her contract with GMA-7 expires?
