Royal baby named George Alexander Louis

Kate Middleton and Prince William have come up with a name to their first child. The royal baby will now be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.

George Alexander Louis is his whole name but he will simply be called Prince George.

The name George was probably taken from the father (George VI) and grandfather (George V) of Queen Elizabeth II, the royal baby’s paternal great grandmother. Alexander Louis, on the other hand, could be from Prince Louis Alexander who is the maternal grandfather of Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II’s spouse.

The healthy royal baby was born July 22, 2013, at exactly 4:24 PM, at the St. Mary’s Hospital in London, the same hospital where Princess Diana gave birth to Princes William and Harry. He weighed 8lbs 6oz.

Kate and Prince William showed him to the public the day after he was born, on their way home from the hospital.
