Kris Aquino is back in the country from a vacation in Europe with her sons Joshua and Bimby. Aside from appearing as a judge in Pilipinas Got Talent 4’s first live episode last Saturday, she also did a live episode of her morning talk show Kris TV on Monday, April 8.
Fans of the actress and host surely gave a sigh of relief after seeing her on television again. Two days before she left the country on March 23, she said that she’s resigning from showbiz, but eventually decided to finish her obligations with ABS-CBN first before doing so.
She hasn’t talked about the said resignation since she arrived, though. She was, in fact, quite happy on Kris TV telling her guest co-host Melai Cantiveros that she met a wealthy businessman while vacationing in France. The over 60 years old man will soon be flying over to the Philippines to buy an island.
The presidential sister also shared that Bimby, her son with James Yap, approves of the man.
“Pumasa kay Bimby, kaya tignan na lang natin,” she revealed. “Let's pray. Let's pray dahil gusto niyang mag-build ng mga buildings sa Philippines. So ipagdarasal ko 'yan dahil mas maraming trabaho para sa maraming Pilipino. Pray with me, okay?”
Meanwhile, her former husband James Yap said he hasn’t seen his son yet since the kid arrived from Europe.
“Hindi pa,” the professional basketball player told ABS-CBN News. However, he did not talk further about his son and former wife due to the gag order that his lawyer requested at the height of the controversy. It was done so he and Kris will not be able to talk about their problems to the media.
The controversy started when Kris filed a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) against James, stemming from an incident in December where James allegedly tried to made “overt sexual advances” at her. James, however, got the public’s sympathy when he told his version of the story, belying what was said in the petition.
Kris then had a live TV Patrol interview where she said that she was already resigning from showbiz. Worried that Kris, who will have no more showbiz obligations in the country after resigning, might decide not to go back to the Philippines with his son for a long time after leaving for the planned vacation, James filed for a Hold Departure Order (HDO). It was, however, junked by the court.
The Queen of All Media has reportedly also petitioned for the TPO to be permanent but no court decision has been out yet.
