A new movie poster for Thor: The Dark World has been released. It is a sequel to the 2011 movie Thor which also starred Chris Hemsworth as the title character.
In this new movie, Thor, the God of Thunder, battles an ancient race of Dark Elves led by Malekith who threatens to plunge the universe back into darkness after the events of The Avengers.
Opening in cinemas November 8th, the movie is directed by Alan Taylor from the script written by Christopher Yost, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
Reprising their roles from the first Thor movie are Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Renee Russo, Anthony Hopkins, Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, and Anthony Hopkins.
New addition to the cast are Christopher Eccleston as Malekith, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Algrim/Kurse, and Zachary Levi as Fandral.
Thor: The Dark World is produced by Marvel Studos and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures.
