Contestant number 41 Ariella Arida was crowned Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2013 during the 50th edition of Binibining Pilipinas held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 14, 2013.
Arida, 24, is a BS Chemistry graduate of the University of the Philippines-Los Baños. She will be the country’s representative to the Miss Universe 2013 pageant, and hopefully equal, if not surpass, the 1st runner-up finish of our 2012 representative Janine Tugonon.
Other contestants who were crowned Sunday night were Bb. 20 Bea Rose Santiago as Bb. Pilipinas International, Bb. 16 Joanna Cindy Miranda as Bb. Pilipinas Tourism. Bb. 39 Mutya Johanna Datul as Bb. Pilipinas Supranational, and Bb. 15 Pia Wurtzbach completed the Top 5 as the 1st runner-up.
The Top 15 also included Bb. 45 Imelda Schweighart, Bb. 34 Grace Yann Apuad, Bb. 13 Charmaine Elima, Bb. 43 Rhea Nakpil, Bb. 46 Amanda Noelle Navasero, Bb. 22 Ellore Noelle Punzalan, Bb. 12 Camille Carla Nazar, Bb. 31 Maria Angelica de Leon, Bb. 25 Merry Joice Respicio, and Bb. 33 Parul Shah.
