The 4th Quarterfinals performance night of Pilipinas Got Talent 4 aired on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Six quarterfinalists battled it out to be part of the Top 12 semifinalists.
First to perform was the Can Can Group of Regidor Elementary School. The girls looked so cute and their costumes added to the flair of the performance. All three judges liked it, with Freddie M. Garcia even saying that he’s glad they started the show. Kris Aquino said their school did so good in training them, while they made Ai-Ai de las Alas smile especially with their synchronized tumbling.
Second in line was Tito Cris Castro who stunned the judges and the audience with his quick mask act. Kris gave him a standing ovation. All the judges wished he’d go through to the finals.
Russel Figueroa, a contestant from Canada, was the third to perform. He sang a little off-key version of Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw but his good looks more than compensated for it. At the end of his performance, only FMG among the judges was clapping. Kris, however, said he seized the moment. Ai-Ai commended his Tagalog, and FMG said his singing was full of love.
Lumina, the acrobat group, did an impressive aerial dance performance. Kris described their performance as breathtaking, but Ai-Ai liked their previous performance better. FMG said they did extremely well considering they only practiced the routine for two weeks.
Fifth to perform was Fluma Viron of Cuerdas, a violinist group. They played One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful and Kris found it cute, while Ai-Ai commended their mothers as most of them are daughters of housemaids. FMG, however, wasn’t pleased with the performance. According to him, they should determine whether they want to dance of play violin as they danced more than they played their instruments.
The sixth and last act was D’ Intensity Breakers who impressed everyone with their dance routine that included hula hoops. Ai-Ai gave them a standing ovation (perhaps because the group is from her province of Batangas). Kris said they’re making the Batanguenos proud and FMG was praised their movement and choreography and described their tumbling routines as super.
