Andrea Brillantes has recently bonded with the kids of Navotas in order to understand better where Annaliza, her upcoming role, came from, and to see the world through the eyes of a child who grew up in a fish port.
The remake of Annaliza, a classic 80s hit soap, is Andrea’s biggest break so far. She will play the role of a girl who has innate goodness and love for everyone despite all the troubles that come her way.
The soap originally aired on GMA-7 from 1980-1986, but ABS-CBN recently got the rights to do its remake. The late Julie Vega, was the original Annaliza. Sadly, she died in 1985 while the soap was still airing. The network had to end the series, resulting in an incomplete storyline.
Luckily, we will surely see the end of the story in the Kapamilya remake which also stars Zanjoe Marudo, Kaye Abad, Denise Laurel, Patrick Garcia, and Carlo Aquino as well as teen sensations Khalil Ramos, Sue Ramirez and Kiko Estrada. It is directed by Theodore Boborol.
