Lauren Young signed an exclusive contract with GMA-7 on Thursday, April 18, 2013. It happened a month after her first Kapuso teleserye, Mundo Mo’y Akin, started airing.
The 19-year-old actress posted the above photo on Twitter with the caption: “At my GMA Artist center contract signing! Feels good that everything is in place now.”
Lauren entered showbiz via ABS-CBN in 2006. Her most remarkable project in the Kapamilya Network was playing the lead role in the Mula Sa Puso remake in 2011.
It was late last year when talks about her transfer surfaced. It was confirmed when she attended the GMA-7 trade launch in November 2011. It was last month when her first Kapuso series aired, but the signing of the exclusive contract has put, in her own words, everything in place.
Present at the contract signing as shown in the photo were GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President for Imaging and Branding Simoun Ferrer, GMA Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Vice President for Drama Redgie Acuña-Magno, Lauren, GMA Entertainment TV's OIC Lilybeth G. Rasonable, and Lauren’s manager Pia Magalona. GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon was also at the event.
