A magnitude 5.8 earthquake hit Negros Occidental on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded the earthquake at exactly 1:21:42 PM. The epicenter was traced 26 kilometers (km) northwest of Cauayan, Negros Occidental. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 10 km.
Phivolcs says damage and aftershocks are expected from a magnitude 5.8 earthquake.

- Intensity 2 – Canlaon city, Murcia, Negros Occidental; Dipolog City
