Ariel Rivera plays the role of a stroke victim named Fidel in this Saturday’s episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Fidel was a dedicated teacher and father before he suffered a stroke which he didn’t fully recover from. It caused his loss of comprehension and speech.
Because his family doesn’t have money for therapy, his wife asked their daughter Jonah to teach his father. Instead of playing like what the kids her age do, she’s now stuck with teaching her father.
Can a family remain strong when the supposed foundation suddenly becomes weak and helpless?
With Ariel in the episode are Ana Roces, Caseyda Silva and Spanky Manikan. The episode was directed by Dado Lumibao from the script by Joan Habana, researched by Alexandra Mae Martin.
Maalaala Mo Kaya airs Saturday nights, right after Wansapanataym on ABS-CBN.
