Andrew Wolff, the Philippines’ representative to Mister World, has just posted on his official Mister World Philippines Facebook account that he was among the Top 10 in the Sports Finals.
Just like Miss World, Mister World has a points system and one of the activities where the contestants could get points to advance to the semi-finals is the sports competition.
Fans have believed Andrew, who’s also a member of the Philippine Volcanoes, would score some (if not a lot of) points in that part because he’s a talented athlete, proof of which was the Volcanoes making it to the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow.
Along with the Philippines, those who entered the Top 10 in the Sports Finals were Colombia, Honduras, Ireland, Japan, Martinique, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and Puerto Rico.
Andrew was chosen by Global Quest, Inc. to represent the country in the international pageant because he possesses what they were looking for: smart, strong and competitive, tech-savvy, has a winning smile, and is athletic enough to participate in the army combat competition.
The franchise holder for the local Miss World, Global Quest, Inc. was granted permission by the Miss World Organization to send our representative to Mister World. National competition wasn’t held anymore because it was a short notice. Andrew was personally chosen by a panel from among a number of potential representatives.
Pageant night will be held on November 24, 2012 at the Kent County Showground in Kent, England.
