Daniel Padilla’s self-titled debut album is now certified platinum!
The album reached the platinum status after selling more than 20,000 copies in less than three months.
It has just been released last May and according to Star Records audio content manager Jonathan Manalo, it was “the fastest album to turn platinum.”
Daniel was first awarded the gold record award in ASAP 2012 last June 17 by Manalo. It was revealed that the album was “literally flying off the shelves” and has turned gold in less than a week.
Released by Star Records, the album contains Hinahanap-hanap Kita, Pagsubok, Paniwalaan Mo, Prinsesa, Grow Old With You, and Ako’y Iyo Ika’y Akin Lamang.
Meanwhile, Daniel can be seen in the hit primetime series Princess And I where he plays the role of Gino, one of the leading men of Kathryn Bernardo’s character, Mikay. The series airs weeknights after TV Patrol on ABS-CBN.
He is also part of the group Boyfriendz with his Princess And I co-stars and rival to Mikay’s heart, Enrique Gil and Khalil Ramos. The cute boy group performs every Sunday in Kapamilya network’s ASAP 2012.
