Charo Santos-Concio is Woman of the Year

Charo Santos-Concio is Asia Pacific Stevie Awards' Woman of the Year for the Philippines.

The ABS-CBN president and CEO will receive the award at a gala banquet at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul next month.

Aside from Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN will also receive a Gold Stevie Award for the category Services Company of the Year-Philippines.

Also from the Philippines, Globe Telecom won a Gold Stevie award for Customer Service Leader of the Year (All Other Nations), as well as New Consumer Product of the Year (All Other Nations) for its Globe Prepaid GoSakto promo.

The winners were chosen from more than 300 nominations across the Asia Pacific, by a panel consisting of more than 50 executives from around the world. A second panel will then choose five Grand Stevie winners from among the Gold winners.

The awards will be presented on May 30, 2014.

According to its website, Stevie Awards "are the world's premier business awards" with a mission of recognizing "achievements in the workplace worldwide."
