Cedric Lee, Simeon Raz handcuffed, brought back to Manila

Cedric Lee and Simeon Raz Lee arrived in Manila Sunday morning on board Philippine Airlines Flight PR 2982. Both were handcuffed and escorted by the National Bureau of Investigation.

Lee and Raz were arrested 11:15 AM of Saturday in a remote town in Oras, Eastern Samar.

They were first spotted by the NBI on Friday in a beach resort in Barangay 13, Dolores, Eastern Samar but they were able to escape by jumping off a wall. They were eventually captured the following day.

Meanwhile, in an interview with the media during their flight back to Manila, Lee said he and Raz surrendered and were not arrested.

The two face criminal charges for grave coercion and the non-bailable serious illegal detention in connection with the controversial Vhong Navarro mauling incident in a Taguig condo unit in January.

Together with Lee and Raz, also facing grave coercion charge are Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee's sister Bernice, Jed Fernandez, Jose Paolo Calma and Ferdinand Guerrero. The same names are also facing serious illegal detention aside from Bernice Lee and Calma.
