Kris Aquino took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a photo of herself with former husband James Yap and their child Bimby during his early 7th birthday celebration. Also in the photo was Joshua, her older child with actor Phillip Salvador.
They looked like a happy family in the photo, and her fans couldn't help but wish they are back together.
It's kind of far from happening already, though, because Yap already has his Italian girlfriend, and Aquino has already admitted to dating Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.
However, the photo showed that both Aquino and Yap are now okay for the sake of Bimby. It can be recalled that the two have figured in a legal battle for the custody of their kid. It even went as far as the actress filing, and being granted, a Permanent Protection Order against the basketball star.
On Monday night in Aquino & Abunda Tonight, Aquino said that she and Yap have already compromised about being co-parents for Bimby.
"We've learned that Bimb deserves to have both his mom and dad involved in his life as co-parents and that takes forgiveness and compromise. It needs acceptance that we've all moved forward, that James does have a long-term girlfriend and it's much better for all of us to be cordial because we want what is best for our son. We have matured enough to know that though James and I failed at being husband and wife, we do have the rest of Bimb's life to succeed at being his parents," she said in a statement, which ended into answering rumors that she is now dating Bautista.
