Patrizha Martinez deactivates most social media accounts to avoid bashers after cheating in 'Biggest Loser'

Patrizha Martinez said her only goal in joining The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles was not to win but just to lose weight. Martinez, along with her sister Cathy, was among the four contestants who voluntarily left the show as they admitted to cheating.

The four confessed in the reality show's Saturday episode that they brought inside the camp things that are prohibited like cigarettes, junk food and slimming tea.

But what prompted her to come out and confess?

"My only goal was to lose weight. It was never to win in the first place. Since I've already lost a lot of weight, teka balikan lang natin 'yung totoong Pat, 'yung Pat na pumasok dito. So doon nagkaroon ng realization na I think it's time for us to go," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe.

Martinez added that it would be unfair to the remaining contestants who she came to consider as family had she decided to continue despite cheating.

"Hindi na rin tama na ipagpatuloy ang laban hanggang dulo pero alam mong may ginawa kang mali. That's just being unfair especially since we have established a family inside that camp," she said.

Expecting that social media bashers would come because of what she did, she deactivated most of her social media accounts. She kept her Instagram, though, because she needs it for work.

"Honestly, social media is my life. I work in marketing and PR so 24/7 naka-online ako. Being wise, I had to deactivate everything except for Instagram because I need that for my work," she said.

Her parents, however, welcomed them back with much understanding.

"My mom, wala nga siyang room for galit. Kung napanood nila 'yung episode, my mom told me na 'Hindi ako galit sa 'yo kasi matanda ka na. Lahat ng ginawa mo alam mo na. The only way to recover from pagkadapa is to get up and do the right thing,'" she said.

Pat and Cathy are the daughters of celebrities Yayo Aguila and William Martinez.
